What to expect?

You start from the historic centre and in just a few minutes the city becomes a memory behind you.
First stop: San Michele in Bosco, one of the most beloved viewpoints in Bologna. From here, your gaze stretches out toward the plain and down over the red rooftops and medieval towers — the true stars of the skyline.
It’s the kind of view that makes you grab your phone, open the camera and say: “Hold on… I need this shot.”

Then you ride on until you reach Sabbiuno, a place of memory set among the calanchi.
Its landscape is essential, a bit raw, with a natural melancholy that reflects its history.
Here stands the memorial dedicated to the victims of Sabbiuno, and the entire area naturally invites you to pause, take in the surroundings, and reflect on the value of life and freedom.
A brief but meaningful stop that stays with you.

After Sabbiuno, the tour finds a lighter rhythm again:
it’s time for a tasting of Colli Bolognesi wines paired with local products.
A glass, a few bites, a pleasant chat — the perfect break to recharge energy and good spirits before getting back on the bike.

The final climb leads to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, which appears gradually along the road.
Elegant and scenic, it dominates the top of the hill, guiding this last part of the tour.
Reaching it by e-bike is pure satisfaction: in front of you stands one of Bologna’s most iconic landmarks, and behind you… a panorama that seems endless.

The ride back to Bologna is a smooth descent, filled with fresh air and the clear feeling of having experienced the hills in all their shades: landscape, memory, flavour and freedom.
