What to expect?

Travelling by train you will move along the Persicetana road, north-west of Bologna, and explore a flat area that has always been characterised by the coexistence of land and water.

An extraordinary open-air museum, where you can lose yourself in unspoilt nature dotted with ancient farmhouses and country churches. You will then stop in the towns of San Giovanni in Persiceto and Crevalcore, which you will reach by train from Bologna. Once at your destination, you will be able to explore the towns freely on your bike, and if you wish you can also join a guided tour of a Parmigiano Reggiano cheese factory or a local brewery (both on request).

In addition to train tickets, bike rental and maps, this self-guided tour also includes lunch in a typical osteria.

We recommend sporty and comfortable clothing.
Don't forget the sunscreen and a hat in the summer, and remember to bring gloves, a scarf and a cap in winter.
