The plain of Bologna is a place where land and water have always coexisted, a place dominated by nature that is still largely unknown to tourists. This self tour is an excellent opportunity to discover it on the legendary Vespa scooter, an icon of slow travelling.
The starting point of the tour is our agency in the centre of Bologna, where we will provide you with everything you need to make the tour on your own. You will explore the area from Bentivoglio to Budrio, passing through Molinella and the Po Delta Park.
There, you will see villages and majestic castles immersed in an atmosphere of times gone by. A few examples? Bentivoglio Castle and the 15th-century village of Selva Malvezzi, as well as the pretty village of Budrio, home of the ocarina wind instrument, and San Pietro in Casale.
Most of vehicles we rent are vintage and manual with the clutch and have the rear brake pedal. Our vehicles use a mixture of petrol and oil from 2% to 3% depending on the model. For those with no experience in the scooter with gears, we have 125 Vespa, which are automatic, comfortable and easy to drive, using unleaded petrol.
It is required to be expert in driving the scooter. We do not rent them to those with little experience or to those who have never driven a scooter (manual or automatic). The day of the rental, if we discover the client is not able to drive, we will apply a 100% penalty.
