A half-day bike ride on the hills close to Bologna to see the gullies
Join our tour on the hills surrounding Castel San Pietro Terme, not far from Bologna, and discover the impressive phenomenon of the gullies! You can live the experience either on an electric bike or on a MTB.

Please note: You need to be familiar with bicycles in order to participate in our bike tours
The tour will start in Castel San Pietro Terme or at Palazzo di Varignana, where you'll have a quick chat with our guide to outline the tour features and challenges. Then, we'll head for Liano by riding up a steep rise. Cycling on secondary tracks among vineyards we’ll reach Varignana, where we’ll visit its beautiful church and crypt.
Once in Varignana we can keep on riding through the countryside towards the typical gullies of the Sillaro valley, created by the erosion of the clay. Alternatively, we can ride back towards Castel San Pietro Terme on quiet roads in the countryside. Upon request we can stop for a refreshment in one of the bars, taverns or wine bars that can be easily found in the area.

Dress code:
Sport and comfortable clothing. Patched trousers, cycling gloves, sunglasses and light jacket are suggested
Technical advice:
Bring a backpack for the jacket, water and food bars
Before the tour please nourish yourself with light and energizing products
